 Gothic Gates steam and who is Dante? A mix of suspense and a man that seems to bring this woman to him as a door opening moment from a Gothic mansion in France sets the stage. What a mystery from the start until you realize this is no ordinary man. A love story? A strong sexual attraction from the start? A man with unusual lifestyle and power? I held my breath reading this until that part where her fire flared and she had to dress for delivering this music and she was not even a regular courier person. The best part was when he paid her downstairs, gulp and yikes, in his wine cellar. No spoilers on that, but steam and …. Then this rare kind of a gentleman is challenged on how to handle her. I loved the line on the ‘rapture of things she never desired for.” I also loved the teasing taunting line when she asked, “Are you a vampire?...he responded with, “Do you want me to be?” chills and steam and mystery. LOVED it.. modern Goth for sure but what a beginning read to this. Thank you for super reading time
